Role

To ensure that the sampling operations are carried out efficiently and in accordance with agreed standards and goal set

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all operations are carried out efficiently, to meet demands as set by the Team Leader
• Collection of samples making sure both production and quality standards are met at all times in relation to:
• Maturity Monitoring
• Residue sampling
• Maturity Clearance
• Ensure that you are working in a safe and secure environment and that you use best practices of occupational safety and health.
• Maintain all quality systems and report where necessary.
• Recording of hours worked and kms travelled on a daily basis
• Any other duties as reasonably required

Personal qualities, including:

• Physically fit; capable of walking around orchards and carrying bags of fruit (may be as heavy as 15 kgs)
• Honest, reliable and approachable
• Flexible and be good self-starter
• Methodical and attention to detail

• Ability to work within the team environment
• Accurate
• Verbal and written English communication skills are required

Must have own transport and current full drivers licence for travel to/from the orchards. Mileage will be reimbursed as per contract.
Collector must be able to use smartphone in the field
Good orchard and road map reading skills
Must be entitled to work in NZ
