Description
De Costa Enterprises Ltd is seeking motivated and reliable seasonal workers to join our orchard team for the winter pruning season.
Position
Apple Tree Pruners - Fixed Term - Seasonal Employment
Employment Period
May to July 2026
with the possibility of ongoing seasonal work for the right applicants
About the Role
You will be working in our apple orchards carrying out winter pruning duties to maintain tree health and maximise fruit production for the upcoming season
Duties Include
Pruning apple trees using hand tools and orchard equipment
Following pruning instructions and quality standards
Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Assisting with general orchard maintenance as required
Working safely as part of a team
What we are looking for
Physically fit and able to work outdoors
Reliable, hardworking and punctual
Previous orchard or pruning experience preferred but training will be provided
Ability to work well in a team environment
Good level of English language
Must have a valid work visa or legal right to work in New Zealand
