Viticultura Contracting is a vineyard management company based in Cromwell, Central Otago.

We are looking for a Viticulture Technician / Machinery Operations Manager to join our team.

Role includes but not limited to:

• Canopy management of vineyards
• Yield and maturity analysis
• Pest and disease management
• Operating and maintaining specialized vineyard equipment
• Spray application operations
• Operating mechanical leaf pluckers, trimmers and mowers
• Frost fighting duties
• Promoting and implementing a health and Safety culture within the business
• Communicating with clients on needs and various vineyards
• Cultivation of successful relationships through the business
• Participate in continued learning, training and development

The ideal candidate will:

Hold a current New Zealand drivers license
Be a ‘vine nerd’, have a passion for grapes and growing grapes
Have experience with vineyard machinery operations
Have ability to work under pressure and independently in remote locations
Have the ability to work nights and weekends over the growing season
Have excellent attention to health and safety
Hold a class 2 drivers license
Hold a growsafe standard certificate
