We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Field Worker to join our Vegetable Production Unit for a 4-week fixed term position commencing early March.

This role focuses on working in-field as part of our planting team, with additional support in our Babyleaf Harvest operation.

• Based in North Canterbury (90 mins from Christchurch and 60mins from Kaikoura by bus)
• 3-4 days per week, averaging 30-40 hours per week (weather/crop dependent)
• Free transport to and from work daily from the accommodation (15-25mins from work)

You will be working outdoors in our lettuce, broccoli, and babyleaf crops. Duties include:

• Transplanting broccoli and lettuce seedlings
• Walking behind the transplanter to correct misplaced seedlings
• Assisting the Planting Supervisor with sorting seedlings onto racks
• Walking behind the babyleaf harvester
• Sorting mesclun and spinach into crates
• Stacking crates safely onto trailers
