Team Leader / Supervisor Cherry Harvest

Are you aiming for a management position and want to gain some supervising experience in a short period of time or do you already have some team leading experience and simply love working with people?

Become a team leader for one of our small picking crews consisting of 12-15 pickers.

About the role:

• Manage your team of pickers efficiently and effectively to achieve the daily plan

• Manage the quality control of the fruit being picked

• Keep accurate records (e.g. timesheets)

• Continuously train your picking team members

• Responsible for the Health and Safety plan to keep everyone safe

We provide free transport from our location to the orchards.

As the summers are usually hot in Central Otago, our picking teams start working early in the morning (between 6am and 7am). We work 7 days a week, but we usually don't pick on rainy days. Luckily the sun is shining through until 9.30pm, so you will still get to enjoy afternoons or evenings down at the lake.

About you:

• Good communication skills and creativity in explaining things differently

• Ability to work under pressure and think outside the box

• Good level of english as you will work with people from all over the world

• Experience in leading a team is required

• Empathetic and passionate about working with people

• Preferably you’ve got some prior experience in fruit picking
