We’re looking for enthusiastic and adaptable professionals to join our seasonal support team. You’ll be the centre of our daily sampling operation, coordinating teams, supporting our people, and keeping things moving safely, efficiently and on time.

Our sampling teams collect kiwifruit samples from Bay of Plenty orchards and beyond to be tested in our Mount Maunganui lab as a key component of Zespri’s assurance programme.

What You’ll Do 

As the key link between our lab and sampling teams, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring daily operations run efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Scheduling & Logistics: Assigning daily work to our sampling team using your planning and coordination skills.
• Stakeholder Support: Providing responsive support to internal and external stakeholders and keeping communications flowing between the field and lab teams.
• Quality Assurance: Reviewing sample paths to ensure compliance with sampling specifications.
• Health and Safety: Monitoring the safety of field teams through a lone worker app and other tools and responding when required.
• Tech Assistance: Providing basic troubleshooting for mobile apps, smartphones, and printers.

Our support team operates 7 days a week, with rostered shifts between 6am and 7pm.

About You  

•  A natural problem-solver who enjoys variety and can think on your feet.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport easily.
• Able to organise and prioritise tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Confident using technology and learning new systems.
• Reliable, adaptable and comfortable working in a faced-paced operational environment
• Able to commit to the full fixed-term period (January–May 2027)

No kiwifruit experience? No problem. Full training is provided.
