Job Title: Seasonal Strawberry Pickers – Fixed Term (October/November)

Location: Matakana, Auckland Region
Employment Type: Fixed Term Part-time (25 to 30 hours/week) – Seasonal (October to November)
Hours: 5–6 days per week | Early morning shifts (6:00 AM to 11:00 AM) | Some weekend work required
Remuneration: Contract (piece rate – paid per kg picked (Topped up to Minimum Wage of $23.95 if required)

Position Overview:

We are seeking motivated and physically fit Seasonal Pickers to join our harvest team during the October–November picking season. This is a hands-on outdoor role involving early morning starts and repetitive physical tasks. You’ll play a key part in harvesting fresh produce to meet market and quality demands. Remuneration is based on performance via piece rates, offering the opportunity to earn based on productivity.

• Good level of physical fitness and endurance
• Ability to bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Quick learner with the ability to follow instructions
• Attention to detail – especially when identifying ripeness
• Flexibility to adapt to changing weather and harvest conditions
• Willingness to work early mornings and weekends as needed

Must live locally – no accommodation is provided.
Must be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or hold a valid work visa. Overseas workers will not be considered or responded to.
Must not be colour blind (visual inspection is key for quality picking).
Must be available for the full harvest period (October–November).
