We are a small family owned strawberry and herb farm located 10 minutes from the beautiful lake side town of Wanaka. Our main business is a PYO field with an ice cream and coffee shop for visitors and a small commercial strawberry operation in the mix.

The job is a mix of picking and packing strawberries and fresh herbs. Our strawberry season starts at the end of November and runs through to mid April/May.

We also have lots of plant pruning work on days when we are not picking.

On the farm we also grow watermelons and a small number of vegetables.

The job is very physical so it's important you are fit, healthy with no injuries and are willing to work in all weather conditions.

The roster is 5days on 2 days off

Here the days can get very hot so our pickers usually start around 5:30/6am and work till mid afternoon. It is great if you want to enjoy the summer and wanaka is a beautiful place to hang out.

Ideally we want to train somebody up that will stay with us for the whole season. When work is low we can give you time off from a couple of days to a week here and there to do some travel.

If we find the right person a full time annual contract may be offered to work in our green houses over the winter months.

There is no accommodation on site but there are two camping grounds 2 minutes away one is free and the other is around $10/night and has showers and cooking facilities.

Requirements. Valid working visa until at least April 2025, ability to work 5 days a week on a roster which may include some weekends from Nov-April. Own Vehicle for transport.  Fit and fast learner.
