About the Role

We are looking for committed and reliable orchard pickers for the apple harvest season.

Preference will be given to previous experienced applicants

⚠️ Important – This is NOT an hourly job. This is a contract piece-rate role. You are paid per bin picked. Only performers who can work fast, efficiently, and safely should apply.

• Picking apples using ladders safely

• Climbing up and down ladders carrying 7–12 kg bags

• Repeated lifting of picking bins

• Working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, cold, heat)

• Following quality, safety, and work instructions

You Must:

Accept that this is piece-rate work only, not hourly, and commit to performing efficiently

Be punctual – arrive on time every scheduled day

Attend every scheduled workday – no exceptions

Commit to the full picking season

Be physically fit, able to climb up/down ladders carrying 7–12 kg bags

Be prepared to work outdoors in rain, cold, or heat

Have own transport

Have good English communication skills

Have a valid New Zealand work visa / legal right to work

Follow all safety rules and use required PPE

Accept that late arrival or no-shows = sent home / no work / no second chances

Accept pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing

Nice to Have (Not Essential):

Orchard machinery experience

Hydralada experience

Tractor operating experience
