Description

Wratten Orchards Limited is an owner/operated apple orchard located in the Tasman Region, which grows and packs quality apples for international markets. Wratten Orchards is a family oriented, multi-generation, kiwi-owned company that has been supplying apples to market for over 60 years.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team for the upcoming Apple Season.

We're seeking an experienced Quality Controller to be a key player in our 2025 Harvest season. This role is full-time and fixed-term but could lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. Kicking off in February 2025 and wrapping up when the harvest concludes in June. If you have a strong background in pip-fruit quality management and enjoy working collaboratively, we'd like to connect with you.

What We Value:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Phytosanitary Procedures and pest identification
  • Solid experience with sampling and inspection techniques
  • In-depth understanding of Exporter requirements and grading standards
  • Familiarity with GFSI, Global Gap, and HACCP protocols within a packhouse environment
  • Knowledge of OAPs for China & Taiwan
  • Insight into MPI MAO standards for exports
  • A systematic and organized approach to work
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication abilities

Tech Savvy: Comfortable handling data entry, navigating quality management software, and using basic office applications.

Working Hours: Standard hours are 7:30 AM to 5.00 PM, Monday to Friday, with Saturday hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Eligibility: Applicants must provide photo ID and proof of eligibility to work in New Zealand. You must be currently residing in NZ.
