Position :         BERRY FRUIT PICKER

Reporting to : BERRYFRUIT PICKING SUPERVISOR

Key Objectives : To pick berry fruit and other work as directed.

Detailed functional activities including :

• Report to supervisor at set time each picking day ;
• Undertake and complete training induction programme covering key skill areas and company policies ;
• Receive issue of barcode tags, pick up buckets and any other picking equipment ;
• Maintain cleanliness e.g. hands and be hygienic on-the job, as per company policy ;
• Pick berry fruit to set standard i.e. colour, quality, and productivity, and place non-confirming fruit in the area between the rows ;
• Fill bucket to required level and tie barcode tag to bucket ;
• Follow instruction from supervisor, complete picking shift and check next picking date and confirm planned attendance ;
• Hand in picking equipment in at the end of each day ;
• Turn up for work each scheduled day and on time.
