Come join us as a Packer in one of New Zealand's largest and newest cherry packhouses.

Cherry Partners LP require packhouse workers who will take responsibility for sorting, grading and packing cherry boxes for the local and export markets. You'll be comfortable standing on your feet for periods of time, working in a cooler environment and have an eye for detail. We are adding a later shift to get us through the busiest few weeks of the year.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is able to work within a team
• enjoys being flexible and adjusting to changes
• Has a strong attention to detail and believes in creating a quality product
• Is able to follow instructions and be aware of safety requirements
• Experience in a packhouse or similar environment is preferred but not essential
• Take over from the morning shift smoothly

Job Description

Sorting - visually inspecting cherries on conveyor belts to separate high-quality from blemished

Packing - assembling and packing cherries into boxes for the local and export markets.

Labelling - accurately labelling packages to meet regulatory standards.

Communicating - communicating with packing teams, supervisors and quality control to optimize fruit quality.

This is a afternoon/night shift to cover our busiest few weeks in January. You must have your own accommodation and transport to our Packhouse and valid working rights in New Zealand. We are unable to sponsor visas.
