Position Overview: As a Packhouse Worker, you will play a key role in the post-harvest handling of cherries. Your tasks will include sorting, grading, packing, and ensuring the fruit meets quality standards. You'll work in a fast-paced environment alongside other seasonal team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Grading fruit according to size, quality, and appearance
• Packing cherries into boxes or crates to meet export standards
• Monitoring and reporting any damaged or contaminated fruit
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within your work area
• Working efficiently to meet daily production targets
• Complying with all food safety, hygiene, and packhouse policies
• Working cooperatively in a team-based environment

Skills & Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail
• Physically fit – ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
• Punctual and reliable
• Positive attitude and willingness to work in a multicultural team
• Adherence to strict hygiene and safety standards
• Valid work visa if not a NZ citizen or resident

Working Conditions

• Must wear closed-toe footwear
• Hairnets, gloves, and safety gear provided
• Extended hours and weekend work may be required during peak harvest
