Hoddys Fruit Co Ltd. is an apple orchard and packhouse in Hope about five minutes from Richmond and fifteen minutes from sunny Nelson.

Expressions of interest for the apple packhouse for our 2025 season are now open. Packing commences around the 24th of February through to the middle of June. We will be looking for the following.

Packers/Graders - Stackers - Tray Loaders.

Hours of work  - we will have two shifts operating in 2025.

Our main shift runs Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) with occasional Saturday work required.

Our second shift will operate Monday to Friday (8.30am to 3pm) with some Saturday work as required.

These are fixed - term positions and require a commitment for the length of the season, which we expect to run for roughly sixteen weeks. No experience is required as on the job training will be provided.

The job requires a good level of physical fitness as the work can be repetitive and packing does involve some lifting and bending. No experience necessary- fill training provided. Must not be color blind. And have a current work visa if required and be currently living in New Zealand.
