Significant growth in the business, brings opportunities for experienced Orchard Supervisors to join our dynamic team. As an Orchard Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in leading, training, and supporting a high-performing team of Horticultural Technicians to achieve our mission of creating and managing the best kiwifruit orchards in the world.

Reporting to Regional Leader, your areas of responsibility may include:

  • Complete the start of the day process with the team, including daily toolbox meetings to ensure Health and Safety compliance, productivity, and quality standards.
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve all quality specifications, fostering a culture of high performance and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with orchard and operations managers to set and monitor productivity targets, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Communicate work details to the team, Orchard Managers, and Regional Leader, ensuring clear and effective information flow.
  • Record timesheets daily and report any absentees on our timesheet software system each morning.
  • Identify and address any behavioural concerns, promptly communicating with the pastoral care team for appropriate action.

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Orchard Supervisor or similar role in the horticulture industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of kiwifruit orchard tasks and techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with different stakeholders.
  • Commitment to creating a safe working environment.
  • Proven ability to meet quality specifications and productivity targets.
  • Flexibility to work in variable weather conditions and adapt to seasonal demands.
  • Valid driver's license and valid work visa status.
