Description

Cherry Partners LP are looking for 2 Line managers who will cover the Day and Evening shift, during each shift they will be responsable for.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the packing line, optimising performance across grading, filling, lidding, stacking, and box-making functions.
  • Work collaboratively with the platform operator and packing supervisor to balance staffing across outlets and tasks, ensuring throughput and quality targets are achieved.
  • Ensure fruit is packed to market and customer specifications in line with packing plans and shipping schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with all food safety and quality standards, including documentation and signoffs for activities such as water management and cool chain adherence.
  • Minimise fruit loss through effective handling practices and ensure final box quality meets grade and size requirements.
  • Monitor packaging material stock levels, ensuring all SKUs have sufficient supply throughout the season.
  • Support production and quality targets through effective team leadership, communication, and coordination with the Packhouse Manager.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment, ensuring staff are trained, inducted, and aware of daily production goals.

Additional duties may be required to support efficient packhouse operations.

About you

  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven leadership and coaching capability, with experience in managing team performance within a production or packhouse environment.
  • Sound understanding of efficient and profitable packhouse operations, including quality, cost, and throughput targets.
  • Knowledge and experience with packhouse software and production systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with people at all levels and build strong working relationships.
  • High level of computer literacy, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and proactive, with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Professional, self-motivated.
