Description

K&F McLean Ltd and McLean Orchards Ltd (“McLFruit”) is a third generation of pipfruit and kiwifruit growers. We’re looking for reliable and hardworking orchard workers to join our kiwifruit and apple teams in Lower Moutere, Motueka. This role is hands-on and essential to ensuring our orchards produce high-quality fruit.
This role suits people who enjoy physical work outdoors, working as part of a team, and taking pride in doing a job well.
Reasonable fitness is required, as the roles involve working on your feet throughout the day. This is repetitive physical work involving prolonged standing, stretching, reaching, while looking upwards for extended periods. It may not be suitable for individuals with existing neck, shoulder, wrist injuries, or repetitive strain conditions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Dates: Approximately 20 October to 19 December 2026. Preference will be given to applicants who are available for the full season.
- Number of positions available: 20
- Position description: bud thinning, tip crushing, summer pruning and general orchard work
- Rate: $23.95 + 8% holiday pay
- Working hours: Weather dependable. Generally, Monday till Friday (7.00am – 4pm), but you must be available to work Saturdays if required.
