We’re looking for 6 reliable and enthusiastic people to join us for one week of shoot ripping on our family-run kiwifruit orchard in Motueka.

This is a short-term outdoor job with an immediate start. No experience is needed — we’ll show you exactly what to do.

About the Job

Shoot ripping is part of preparing and maintaining kiwifruit vines during the growing season. You’ll be working outdoors in the orchard, removing unwanted new shoots from the vines.

The work is hands-on and repetitive, so you’ll need to be comfortable:

• Working outdoors throughout the day
• Using your hands to remove unwanted shoots
• Reaching up and working around kiwifruit vines
• Following instructions and working as part of a team

Motueka is a relaxed town at the top of the South Island, close to Abel Tasman National Park. There are beaches, walking tracks, kayaking and plenty to explore when you’re not working.
