Description
Type of work: Kiwifruit Picking
Typical daily tasks:
- Harvest/pick kiwifruit from the vines, placing the fruit into picking bags
- Discard rotting and over-ripened kiwifruit
- Transferring picked kiwifruit into bins from the picking bags
- Be vigilant when picking and placing kiwifruit into bags and bins to avoid damage
- Adhere to H&S and hygiene requirements
- Ensure a ‘quality pick’ following directions from experienced staff, supervisors and managers and meeting the picking standards set by the packhouse.
- Assist site with passing picking audits by being aware of and meeting picking standards at all times.
- General orchard work
