We have work for a small team of pickers for around 10-14 days on our small, family run orchard in Appleby, near Nelson. We are harvesting the results of a year's worth of hard work, so we require respectful, careful people, who can work quickly and will take care of our fruit. Previous fruit picking experience would be advantageous.

We are looking for a few people to work for us in the winter, pruning.

The work is quite heavy and continuous, so a good level of strength and fitness is required. The hours and days are variable, depending on the maturity of the fruit, however 8am to 4.30pm would be normal.

You would need your own transport, and there is no accommodation on the orchard. Please do not apply if you do not have a valid work visa, or are not yet in NZ.

We pay piece rates, but with a minimum hourly rate and holiday pay added.
