Stringing Team Member - General Orchard Hand (GOH)

Are you hands-on, reliable, and ready to work outdoors in a team that values growth, integrity, and collaboration? McLean Orchards is looking for motivated and adaptable team members to join our stringing team.

This is a seasonal fixed-term role involving tree training, and other general orchard tasks. We’re looking for fit individuals who can work well independently as well as part of a team.

Stringing (tree training) – what you will be doing 

• Assisting with stringing and tree training, including tying and positioning branches to support healthy tree structure, while regularly climbing ladders throughout the day.  

• Following all health and safety procedures while working outdoors in varying weather conditions 

• Supporting supervisors and working collaboratively with the wider orchard team 

What we’re looking for: 

• Physically fit - able and willing to stand on your feet all day and carry a 2.4m-high ladder around.
• People that are comfortable with repetitive manual outdoor work 

• Positive “can-do” attitude, strong work ethic, punctual, and reliable 

• Own reliable transport  (but not bikes)

• Applicants must be New Zealand residents or citizens and legally entitled to work in New Zealand 

Contract details: 

This is a seasonal fixed-term position starting immediately and finishing in approx 3 weeks. Then we have further positions available from 9th November.

Working hours: 7.30am to 5pm, Monday till Friday (weather dependable). You must be available to work weekends. 

Must be physically fit and able to carry heavy ladder all day
