We are looking for an experienced forklift driver. You will work inside a busy onion packhouse during the onion exporting season. This is a seasonal job. The job is available to start now.

Job Details:

• Immediate Start - August (5 months job length)
• 7:30am - 5pm (Mon - Friday)
• Approx. 40 hours per week
• Weekend Work: As required. Saturday shifts may be necessary.
• $28 + per hour + 8% holiday pay. Pay based on experience.
• 15 minutes drive from Ashburton.

The hours may vary slightly depending on the harvesting season, but this is definitely considered a full time job.

Job Tasks:

• Stack and move large produce bins using a forklift.
• Load/unload trucks and shipping containers.
• Remove stacks of packed product from packing machinery
• Assist packhouse staff with daily cleanup and other tasks as required.

The job involves driving a forklift around packing machinery and grading staff. It requires a great deal of care. You will have previous forklift driving experience. It can be a high pressure environment and requires a lot of multi-tasking. Some lifting work may be required and you should be able to lift up to 25kg easily.

Job applicants must have the right to work in NZ (Working Holiday Visa, residency or NZ/AUS citizen). The work environment is dusty and not heated.
