A Central Otago Stonefruit Orchard is looking for Experienced Cherry Pickers to join our team for the 2024-25 season.

This role will go from the week of the 22nd of December to the week of the 20th of January, working up to 6-day weeks (depending on weather). The average workday is from 6:30 am to 3 pm. This role can earn bonuses if meeting the required bucket rate.

We ideally would like someone who:

• Must have had experience in New Zealand Cherry Orchards, or overseas orchards
• Ladder Confident.
• Able to carry picking buckets around 5kg+.
• Able to work on their feet all day.
• Work in the extreme weather of Central Otago.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all staff members.
• Proficient in spoken English.
• Desire to work efficiently and to the best of their ability’s.
• Have a good level of fitness.
• Highly motivated, adaptable person who is willing to work early mornings and weekend work where required.
• Be able to perform laborious tasks repeatedly (involves lifting, bending, etc.)
• Works well in a team environment and works well independently.
• Able to pick up skills quickly.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Accommodation is available on request but very limited. We have a site for tents and campervans, and Cabins.
