Cherry Partners LP requires general packhouse staff who will take responsibility in tasks including working at a box erecting machine, prepping cartons, operating a pallet jack, the grading and packing of cherries, lidding and labelling of cherry boxes for the local and export markets.

You'll be comfortable standing on your feet for periods of time, working in a cooler environment and have an eye for detail.

• Has a strong attention to detail and believes in creating a quality product
• Is able to follow instructions and be aware of safety requirements
• Experience in a packhouse or similar environment is preferred but not essential

Job Description

Working at box erecting machine - removing boxes of conveyor to pallets for pre- prepping

Prepping of carton - placing liner bags and soaker pads in boxes

Operating a pallet jack - suppling of pre-prepped boxes to packing tables

Grading - visually inspecting cherries on conveyor belts to separate high-quality from blemished

Packing - assembling and packing cherries into boxes for the local and export markets.

Labelling - accurately labelling packages to meet regulatory standards.

Communicating - communicating with packing teams, supervisors and quality control to optimize fruit quality.

Any other duties and assignments as directed by management from time to time.
