Compliance Monitoring Assistant

Season: Spring/Summer (October 2023 – February 2024)

Role Overivew

Hortinvest is experiencing rapid growth and there’s an increased demand for our products. Due to this we’re in search of a Compliance Monitoring Assistant who can help ensure the quality and health of our cherry and apricot orchards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and check our moth and bug traps routinely
• Document and record findings from the traps
• Measure and take note of bud growth
• Record daily and seasonal weather patterns and anomalies
• Uphold the integrity of our compliance systems and documentation processes

Requirements

• Valid work visa, residency or citizenship in New Zealand
• Must be currently residing in New Zealand
• Passion for following systems and completing compliance paperwork diligently
• Comfortable working outdoors and have a love for nature and the beautiful Central Otago region
• Ability to work independently and stay motivated
• Proficiency in IT and a keen eye for detail are beneficial for this role
• A good command of English language

Role Details

• Part-time position (approx. 20 hours per week)
• Fixed term role throughout the Spring/Summer season
• Renumeration $23 per hour plus an additional 8% holiday pay
• Flexibility in work hours for the right candidate
