Description

Cherry Tree Pruners Wanted – Seasonal Work 🌿🍒
We’re on the lookout for motivated, hard-working people to join our team for cherry tree pruning.
If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a good crew, this could be a great fit for you.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be pruning cherry trees across different orchard sites. It’s hands-on, physical work, so you’ll need to be reasonably fit and happy working outside in changing weather conditions. Pruning experience is a bonus, but not required. We’re happy to train the right people.
When:
Monday to Friday
8:00am – 4:30pm
(Hours can vary depending on weather.)
Pay:
This is piece rate work (paid per tree pruned). The faster and more efficient you are, the more you can earn. If your piece rate earnings fall below minimum wage, you’ll be topped up to $23.50 per hour, so you’re always guaranteed at least that rate.
What we offer:
✔ Consistent weekday work
✔ Friendly team environment
✔ Work across different orchards
✔ Basic accommodation for campervans, with access to shared kitchen and bathroom facilities
We’re looking for reliable people who show up on time, work hard, and bring a positive attitude.
Sound like you? Get in touch or apply via our website (https://www.centralpac.co.nz/vacancies) or send us an email to hr@centralpac.co.nz. We’d love to have you on the team!
Job Requirements
Physically fit and able to handle full days of outdoor work
Comfortable working in all weather conditions
Good attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
Committed to working Monday–Friday
Own transport is an advantage (as work is across different orchard sites)
Valid work rights for New Zealand
Previous pruning or orchard experience is a bonus, but not essential
