We are one of the regions newest and largest packhouses. Spend your days escaping the heat working in a cool environment while enjoying your long summer evenings by the lake.

We are looking for a great team of packhouse workers who will take responsibility for sorting, grading and packing cherry boxes for the local and export markets. You'll be comfortable standing on your feet for periods of time, working in a cooler environment and have an eye for detail.

We are looking for people who can start on the 20th of Dec.

We are looking for someone who:

• is able to work within a team
• enjoys being flexible and adjusting to changes
• has a strong attention to detail and believes in creating a quality product
• is able to follow instructions and be aware of safety requirements
• experience in a packhouse or similar environment is preferred but not essential

Job Description

Sorting - visually inspecting cherries on conveyor belts to separate high-quality from blemished

Packing - assembling and packing cherries into boxes for the local and export markets.

Labelling - accurately labelling packages to meet regulatory standards.

Communicating - communicating with packing teams, supervisors and quality control to optimize fruit quality.

You will need your own transport and accommodation for this job. You will also need to have a valid work visa or the legal right to work in New Zealand.
