Become a seasonal Bird Control Officer / Maintenance Personnel and be a very important part of the puzzle in protecting our precious cherries. Due to severe winds, we have lost some parts of our nets and are now looking for someone to keep the birds under control and assist with maintenance tasks.

About the job:

Bird Control Tasks:

• Driving around in the orchard making noise
• Refilling gas guns in the orchard
• Using pyrotechnic gun to scare the birds
• Clearing out mist nets

Maintenance Tasks:

• Filling up diesel generators around the campsite
• Help fixing small things around the campsite if needed
• Maintaining a clean and tidy camp environment (we have commercial cleaners coming once a day; just looking for overflowing rubbish bins or filling up toilet paper/hand towels)

About you:

• Very aware of health and safety
• Experience in driving a quad bike is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
• Experience in maintenance is helpful but not required
