The avocado season is in full swing and we’re looking for four seasonal workers to join our team way up in the Far North.

Waiharara is a community on the Aupouri Peninsula in Northland, State Highway 1 runs through the area.  To the west is Aupouri Forest, and beyond that Ninety Mile Beach. To the east is Rangaunu Harbour. Houhora is 22 km north west, and Awanui is 16 km south east.  This is some of the best that New Zealand has to offer!

Being one of the orchard work team, training is given to help you know the standards required, also how to use the equipment safely.  An element of lifting is required.

The work is quite repetitive, and you will need the ability to self-motivate to achieve goals and manage yourself when the work is physically demanding as the job requires you to spend long periods on your feet.

Our usual work hours are 7.00am to 4.30pm, although these hours may be longer when necessary due to the weather and daylight hours.

Work is paid by the hour, with a base hourly rate of $25.00 plus 8% holiday pay.

There’s a great local back packers if you are looking for accommodation with full facilities provided - kitchen, laundry, shower.  Other accommodation options are available if you are self-contained.
