Description

Murphy Horticulture is a family-owned business operating a vineyard as well as being the only export apple grower in the region, providing our staff with unique diversity and experience. We're located within 5 minutes of Blenheim in the magnificent Marlborough region.
We have a number of opportunities for work starting in November and working through until approximately Christmas for keen applicants. Primarily you will be helping us thin apples as well as some small jobs in the vineyard such as wire-lifting. We would love to hear from you if you're keen, motivated, reliable, and happy to work outside.
We're are currently only considering NZ citizens or resident visa holders.
Full training will be provided, but you will need to be reasonably fit and comfortable working with a ladder. Thinning is paid on a minimum wage rate of $23.50 per hour with the possibility to earn hourly bonus rates based on productivity and quality. This gives you the opportunity to earn significantly more than the standard hourly wage if you are keen and able.
The aim is to complete 40+ hours a week, Monday to Friday with Saturday optional, weather permitting. We would also consider flexi contracts for people are not able to commit to 40 hours per week.
