The apple season is upon us. The chillers are full, and we are looking for two fit, hardworking positive people to complete the very last step in the chain of fruit production before shipment– stacking and strapping!

Job Details

STACKER/STRAPPER : This person takes the filled cartons through the carton sealer/Glue machine, checks that they are sealed to specification, then stacks them correctly on the pallets. When the required number of boxes/crates are loaded, this person then straps and moves the pallets using the equipment provided. Accuracy and an eye for detail is a must. Training is given in all aspects of this work.

The apple cartons weigh 20kg so the person needs to be fit, healthy and motivated without any prior back or shoulder injuries.  Height is an advantage.  A good grasp of the English language is a must.

Workdays are Monday to Saturday inclusive, 8.00am to 5.00pm. This may vary depending on the workload.

Fixed term work from approximately 28th April until early June.

Pay will be $23.50 per hour plus 8% holiday pay.

Accommodation is available. Cost is $18 per night per person in a twin share room. Full facilities provided - kitchen, laundry, shower. Other accommodation options are available if you are self-contained.
