About the Role

We are seeking a mature, responsible, and approachable individual with a strong camping or outdoor background to provide pastoral care and support for seasonal workers camping on-site during the cherry harvest. This role focuses on wellbeing, practical support, and ensuring the smooth day to day running of our freedom camping facility in a busy, seasonal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a friendly, supportive point of contact for workers and check in on their wellbeing regularly.
• Monitor vehicle activity of staff who freedom camp on site
• Assist with practical tasks such as gas bottle changeovers, replenishing supplies, and arranging general upkeep with contractors.
• Manage camps tasks including check-ins, check-outs, and basic records.
• Promote safe living practices, house rules, and respectful behaviour.
• Recognise and escalate any concerns about health, behaviour, or safety.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, community-focused environment for residents.

About You

• Mature, responsible, and approachable
• Strong camping, outdoor, or seasonal living experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organised and able to calmly handle minor conflicts independently confidentially 
• Experience in pastoral care, hospitality, seasonal work, or community support is a plus
• Criminal background check will be required

Hours & Salary

• Approximately 25–40 hours per week, depending on seasonal needs
• Salary: To be agreed with suitable candidate's
• Some flexibility for occasional after-hours support may be required
