Roxburgh is a cool little town only a couple of hours away from Queenstown, Dunedin, Invercargill and the coast.  If you enjoy the outdoors, fancy having cycling, fishing, walking, and Central Otago on your doorstep, then this is the place for you.  The Catlins aren't far away either if you feel like having a sea visit and checking out the wildlife.

Thinning is a pretty straight forward job, but you do need to be fit, able, thorough, happy to work as a team, and able to take directions.    It can be monotonous, so self motivation is helpful!  It does involve using an orchard ladder, so you need to be happy with climbing this and obviously with working outside.  The job is around 40 hours a week, but is weather dependent and may involve weekends.

You will be thinning apricots and we also have plums, peaches and nectarines, so if you would like to stay on a little longer, then we can probably find something for you to do.  Otherwise the role will go from early October until mid November approx.
